Sotiris Monachogios is a registered Architect (MArchEng) and maker (graduate of the UCL Master of Architecture (MArch) program), specializing in Design for Manufacture. With 8 years of hands-on professional experience, he excels in designing and developing conceptual ideas, manufacturing innovative projects and producing detailed drawings and 3D models. Sotiris is a proficient user of industry-leading software, including Archicad, Rhino, Grasshopper, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite and other design tools. Before joining KAAF in 2020, Sotiris gained valuable experience working with both Greek and international architectural firms, participating in various architectural competitions and exhibitions. At KAAF, he has been responsible for the design development and licensing of ecological hotels, resorts, residential complexes and sports facilities, with a particular focus on mass timber design.
As Operations Manager at KAAF, Sotiris is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the firm’s daily operations, ensuring streamlined workflows, the timely delivery of projects, cost-effectiveness and the maintenance of high-quality standards. His role involves close collaboration with the Director, Project Managers, Design Leaders and the Administration to align with the firm’s objectives and uphold client satisfaction. In addition, Sotiris is tasked with training and coaching teams on best practices and operating procedures, while also ensuring that KAAF complies with all legal, quality and insurance standards across projects. This includes the proper and timely submission of required documents to relevant authorities for permits and approvals.
